Neither will they list your residential number in the business section of the telephone book. Only when you pay for a business telephone number will the telephone company offer you all the benefits that goes with it.

To get a telephone for your business, you need to contact the Business Telephone Department of the local telephone company in your area. The telephone company may require you to make a deposit before they will connect the service. Your monthly bill will be based on the type of telephone service you requested for the business. There are additional fees for services such as call waiting, call forwarding, answer call, and other features. These special services should be discussed with a telephone representative.

The name of the business will be listed in the business section of the telephone book.
